MediaMarkt Startup Challenge Brought Retail Innovators, Shaping The Future Of Retail, Together

It’s been 2 years that Hackquarters in partnership with MediaMarkt is implementing a Startup Challenge where retail startups are pitching their solutions and presenting the retail technologies of  tomorrow. We are driven by the aim to enrich customer experience; promoting the most innovative solutions and ideas in the retail sector. 11 startups were selected among 150+ applicants from 39 countries. We are extremely excited by the fact that the best startups for the 3 years have chances to pilot their products in MediaMarkt stores all over Europe, and participate in the RetailTech Hub program powered this year by Plug and Play.

The event started with the welcoming speech of Yenal Gökyıldırım, MediaMarkt Turkey CEO followed by Kaan Akın, Hackquarters CEO.

The most exciting part of the Challenge is 11 startup pitches. Here are the startups:

AssistBox, Turkey
AssistBox is a communication platform enabling remote assistance in customer and field services workflows. AssistBox has video conference and chat capabilities, and also the ability to control remote mobile devices. AssistBox with no need to work onsite, provides fast and effective solutions, reduces costs, increases efficiency and customer satisfaction.

B2Metric, Turkey
B2Metric is an AI-Native predictive analytics solution that automates Machine Learning pipeline for the company's customer journey, price and purchase optimization problems.

Cameralyze, Turkey

Cameralyze, a SaaS company, is analyzing retails stores using CCTVs. Cameralyze gives details about a customer and customer behavior. Cameralyze brings artificial intelligence solutions to the physical locations, products and visitors.

DeepNeed, Luxemboug
DeepNeed is a fast-growing AI startup with purposes to improve personalised customer experience and develop brand new customer behaviour analysis strategies. DeepNeed offers exclusive machine learning solutions to extract data insights that have not been possible before. DeepNeed has already developed AI-systems for an international retail company (~5.5B$ turnover) and a large mobile operator (~75M clients).

Shopi, Turkey 

Shopi is a SaaS based, all-in-one, Omnichannel retail store operations platform with an order management system (OMS) in place. Locating the store associates at its center rhetoric, Shopi maximizes the store efficiency and elevates customer experience by empowering retailers with a combination of cloud and mobile solutions.

Shopme, Netherlands
ShopMe enables stores to easily accept self-checkout payments and turns cell phones into a self-checkout device in malls through a simple API integration. Shoppers simply scan a barcode, retail staff receive the order and go to the inventory room to fulfill the purchase, limiting interaction with the shopper. Clients collect the purchase at the counter.

Sorwe, Turkey
Sorwe digitalizes all strategic HR processes to enhance the experience in the workplace with internal communication & feedback, career development, e-learning and performance features. We give voice to employees while solving the efficiency problem of HR teams in big corporates.

Uservision, Turkey
Uservision helps brands to empathize with customers. We provide a platform, where agencies and brands could quickly reach their target audience and get explicit, subconscious and implicit insights with a couple of clicks.

Vintom, Poland
Vintom's technology allows global brands to deeply personalise video content based on the data they have about customers' behaviours, interests and accounts. With Vintom you can engage with customers, build loyalty and boost sales.

Yosh.AI, Poland

Yosh.AI is a deep tech company which automates the communication between enterprises and users with AI voice and text assistants. Yosh.AI enables e-commerce with artificial intelligence solutions to boost user engagement and sales.

Zapiens, Spain
Zapiens re-skills teams to improve knowledge about products, boosting sales and customer service. Zapiens is a single platform powering company’s knowledge & information, like Mobile learning; Information delivery; Knowledge analytics; and People Analytics.
