Tell us what your startup does.

Musebirds designs products to compensate the usual setbacks that travelers may experience. Because most of the time “TRAVEL IS; WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU WHEN YOU WERE BUSY MAKING OTHER PLANS.”Traveler contentment starts with creating solutions to the real concerns of travelers, and continues with not exhausting them at any stage of the process. We have developed a range of products from the traveler’s point of view for sustainable traveler contentment.

Tell us about your team.

With a team of 3 developers, one designer, a business developer and two product developers we are 7 people from different backgrounds and ages.

When and why did you found your startup?

I started traveling alone when I was 11 years old. I spent my 20s travelling many places of the world mostly as a backpacker.As a person who has experienced many of the setbacks in flight, I have not received any compensation or customer contentment focused behavior from any insurance company or Airline company, without calling or emailing many times. In today's digital world, it is possible to compensate the setbacks of the travelers in very practical and effortless ways, even without any claim. We combined the technological abilities and possibilities of today with our understanding of "traveler contentment" and Musebirds was born.

What are your key and unique features?

The most unique aspect of these products is that it compensates travelers with a creative way without being an insurance. Till today , we have built our entire system and financed all the payments by ourselves. Now we are seeking to cooperate/ partnership with insurance companies and develop insurtech products in the near future.

What is your growth like?

Apart from these extraordinary Corona days, the aviation industry is growing rapidly. In parallel with ticket sales, we had a similar growth. We sold more than 2.5 million products ( ticketbirds) in 6 years. But I don't know what will happen after the Corona Crisis.

What are your plans for next year and the next 5 years?

5 years is a very long time, let me talk about the next month, our new user product Urbanbirds will be live. Negotiations and partnership plans with insurance companies are on track. Our main goal is to design the most preferred products by travelers in near future.
