Children and young people represent at least one-third of a country’s population. They represent even 50% of some developing countries. It is a notable fact that most of the young population (especially those living in developing countries) are underbanked and they don’t have financial literacy at decent levels. Their inclusion in finance is a significant point in our future for sustainable economic development. Their literacy in finance means that they can build better futures for themselves. Our startup spotlight guest this week is Manibux, the financial education system for children. ManiBux is a pocket money management system and prepaid card where parents can take responsibility for their young people's money, where they can send and receive easy and safe pensions for their children and provide control. It is an application where our children can safely manage and track their allowances, they can learn to save with discounts for them, and they will be able to have fun, freedom, responsibility, and act together with their families who will support them in their early years. Manibux CEO Tuğçe Akay told us about their pathway.
Digitalization and technological innovations are shifting the ways in which we educate our children about money. FinTech is providing parents with endless ways to introduce their children to the concept of money management, income generation, saving and spending, investments, and credit. By offering our kids a convenient and interactive tool to learn and sharpen financial skills, We founded Manibux in 2016 to turn financial education into real-life experiences through FinTech. Our goal is to help kids learn about money management through our enjoyable Manibux app and prepaid card, providing a safe, fun, and controlled environment.
