Visa Innovation Program Borderless Day

The Borderless Day, is the kick-off event of the Visa Innovation Program Batch 3 took place on 01 June. This event brought fintechs from 3 hubs, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Greece, together with Visa, VCs and bank partners. 

The event started with a twenty-minute welcoming panel, discussing the Vision of the Visa Innovation Program SEE and its future. Moderated by Todor Nikolov from Visa; Kaan Akin, Founder and CEO at Hackquarters; Daniel Tomov, Founding Partner at Eleven Ventures, Bulgaria; George Karamanolis, CTO/CIO of Crowdpolicy, Greece, shared the benefits of the Visa Innovation Program. Also, they highlighted how it helps fintech startups expand their solutions through partnerships and PoCs with the companies in Visa’s network. 

“Today, starting a business is so costless thanks to cloud computing, and APIs. Entrepreneurs have the greatest chance ever to create solutions to existing problems and spread the impact of their businesses. In the Visa Innovation Program, they get the opportunity to exhibit their solutions to large audiences of companies. This makes their growth even faster.” said Hackquarters’ Kaan Akın.

Borderless Day continued with the pitching of 18 participant startups from 3 countries. Each of them presented their solutions in 3 minute slots. Here are the startups from Hackquarters ecosystem in Turkey and their one-line descriptions.



FineDine Digital Menu is an AI-driven ordering platform that helps restaurant operators increase sales and customer retention with digital menus.

Fintegre is an Affordability and Sales Growth Solutions provider for retailers. From consumer finance to insurance, it enables financial services that impact the bottom lines of retailers.

HASO (Hemen Al Sonra Öde) is a customer and risk management platform with the merchant and consumer front end, enabling merchants to penetrate unbanked or underbanked segments and consumers to “Buy Now Pay Later.”

Norma is the one-stop-shop digital banking and business services platform for Micro-SMEs and freelancers.

Paratic is a product for cash management (open banking) software solutions.

SoliPAY Utarit Bilişim focuses on meeting all the needs of people with a single card, with solutions that focus mainly on the transportation services of cities and the campus needs of universities.

The event was concluded with match-making sessions where startups had a chance to meet with partner banks and VCs for a partnership and investment.
